Ravenburn
Humanities bible college
TOWARD A BETTER LAND. MATTHEW 6:19-34
RAVENBURN HUMANITIES BIBLE COLLEGE is a degree-granting school owned and operated by a core group of faculty and streamlined in order to lower tuition and to increase direct pedagogy.

FOUR BELIEFS drive our academics:
1) Critical thinking should invade every aspect of human activity.
2) The key to lifelong learning lies in the nonfiction-narrative section of the public library. These books are designed to be informative on relevant issues and interesting from the get-go, else they won't sell. And when it comes to what will be more easily remembered down the line—a list of facts and dates with the abstract overview style of a textbook versus an intriguing real-life story with real people and real events—our bet lies with the story every time.
3) The shifting economic terrain of the United States means that a student who acquires a variety of ways to think creatively and efficiently will do better in forging a path into fruitful and sustainable ministry than someone who has only one specialized skill.
4) A life lived wisely and well is the result of a combination of many skills and experiences which, while they superficially appear to be disconnected, are fundamentally related. Knowing the dynamics of this fundamental connection is the key to the education we provide here at Ravenburn.
