admissions

General requirements (grad)
1) You must meet all the basic application requirements (application form, undergrad transcripts showing an earned BA or BS).
2) If you are traveling to block classes or residency opportunities, you must be 21 or older and must have a valid driver's license.

3) You must have a laptop with Internet connections and a printer with means to get the toner and paper. Implied in this requirement is the further willingness to open and maintain online accounts in mainstream platforms like Gmail, Zoom(or a similar live-stream service), Blackboard, Google Classroom, and so forth.

4) You must have access to the full resources available at a local public library and at a local academic library (a publicly funded college or university).

5) You must have financial means to pay for the annual tuition and the annual accreditation fee in full up front, before the academic year begins.

6) You must be willing to dedicate at least 3 hours a day to dedicate to study/reading.

7) You must be willing to travel to block classes if the need arises (you must bear the travel costs).

8) You must be willing to relocate to a different city or urban center if the need arises (you must bear the travel and relocation costs).

9) Carefully chosen content in our graduate programs often contains mature elements like profanity, violence, nudity and scenes of sexual intimacy. We believe that this content reflects accuracy the condition of the fallen human race and that frank discussion of these elements is a necessary component of the development of the mind we consider to be at the graduate level of analysis and praxis. You will be expected to engage thoughtfully with this material.

10) If you are taking a reading masters (that is, your master of arts program has no writing component of any significant weight), the degree is considered terminal. If you wish to continue on with a doctorate program with a school in the system accredited by Open Latch, you will need to complete a 5-credit graduate-writing unit first. This unit is a stand-alone unit and can be completed at any time before one applies for a doctoral program.
