The purpose of the OLEF Table of Degree Equivalencies is to give faculty schools opportunities to operate under the codes of their respective states. A state may not allow a faculty school to use certain degree titles unless that school has purchased a certificate of authorization from the state. Often, those certificates are exorbitant. In such a case, a faculty school can operate under the alternate systems outlined above. All transcripts provided by OLEF and the faculty schools are to include this table. OLEF reserves the right to recognize a collection of credits in accordance with the equivalency system and title that the individual student chooses, regardless of how faculty schools label their diplomas.
